I'm expecting a lot of fuzzy groovy sludgy goodness in this thread tomorrow. Don't disappoint me boyos.

 

I listened to a metric fuckton of new shit today. And have been in general. Here's a quick report.

- New Revolting, Atomwinter, Ripped To Shreds and last year's Engulfed are all fucking rad if you're looking for Swedeath. Top-notch, all of them.

This one is my personal favorite of the bunch.

- New Afgrund record is some gnarly grindcore for those interested.

- New Scorched is predictably enjoyable. As is the new Lectern, which has a bit of an OSDM/brutal-death blend kinda deal going on.

- And my personal favorite of today's listening probably (of my ever-morphing opinions) is the new Hellish God. First rate unabashed Krisiun worship. And man, I love me some Krisiun. Feast your ears, folks.

 

damn. lot to dive into there.

 

Good shit, Scorched and Ripped to Shreds are top-tier. Gotta check out those others!

I do agree that Jetpacks Was Yes would’ve been a big hit if the band actually tried to push the song.

 

It's going to be a good day to do nothing other than stare at spreadsheets and listen to Sleep.

RE: Periphery

This might be another unpopular opinion of mine, but Spencer has always been the weakest element of Periphery for me...I can't really see how they could have gotten super popular anyway with him as a vocalist regardless of what music biz type decisions they've made in the past.

 

He’s not bad but he definitely sounds like a generic lead singer if that’s makes sense
