I love this thread cuz everyday I come back I have 10 new bands I need to add to the list.

Now it’s Conjurer, Baptists, and Darkest Hour.

 

World War II period war dramas.

 

Agreed to this on all counts. Once they got past the box, Converge is one band that all my friends who are solely into metal and all my friends who are solely into hardcore can agree on.

I'm seeing Protest the Hero tonight on their Fortress tour. They better play Blindfolds Aside as an encore or I RIOT.

 

Is it metallic hardcore? Then it's metalcore. Converge is one of the fathers of metalcore. However. metalcore isn't metal.

We can go deeper but it's already such a silly thing

 

I mean I get the misconception since people may associate metalcore with double bass and breakdowns, but yeah let’s drop it.

Ok I'm going on a long flight, gimme some albums from 2018 I need to catch up on.

 

The first time I heard any ptw was at a horse the band show. They opened with zombies are good for your health...life changing moment.

Luckily I didn't know about nerdy, they like semi retired it at that stage in their career and didn't play it.

 

One sentence reviews of each of the bands at the Protest the Hero/Closure in Moscow/Thank You Scientist show tonight:

-Thank You Scientist was nice and funky.

-Closure in Moscow was great for a band that zi forgot existed prior to them being announced on this lineup.

-Protest the Hero sounded like shit for the first half of their set, but made a valiant attempt at recovering in the back half.

 

This Rivers of Nihil record is so ridiculously good.

Thank You Scientist puts on an amazing show! I saw them open for Coheed a few years ago and they blew me away. Also Closure in Moscow....blast from the past...

The Rolo Tamassi album is right up my alley. Good combination of Alcest and Oathbreaker.
