Been enjoying that new Slugdge album this evening that someone posted in here the other week.

 

Sorry to totally spam this thread today, but there's just so many cool things to share. Here's one more thing to post before I revert to radio silence in favor of more substantive discussion - it's an awesome primer from Bandcamp to a bunch of rad grindcore bands and the directions they're taking the genre. All of the bands on here that I've heard of are awesome and deserve a listen if you haven't heard of them - Cloud Rat, Chepang, Antigama, Endon, Unyielding Love, and Pink Mass especially. Greber sounds promising. Full of Hell is also on here, but y'all know them. Enjoy!

New Directions in Grindcore

 

Holy shit, I've seen all of these bands but together this is like a dream lineup

EDIT of course they're not coming anywhere near here dammit

 

at least you've seen demilich before. haha. but this is a killer line-up, and i'm super excited for this show. we get nucleus opening here as a cherry on top of the touring line-up as well.

 

Female-fronted doom from Oregon, pretty solid stuff. New album in May.

I only heard a couple songs but I didn't hate what I heard

 

The drums could’ve been better mixed imo

haha, I still play it a lot too. It's a fun riff for sure.

 

Wild that album is like 12 years old, I played the fucking shit out of that thing in high school.

 

One of their best songs. They haven't topped it since.

 

Haha I do the same, I also start with the arps from bleeding mascara and at some point I just go through the bridge and solo from lip gloss and black.

My first year of college it was like you were in the atreyu camp or a7x camp. I feel like both bands had their merits, I gave a7x a slight edge entirely because Rev was a masterful song writer. Tragic.

 

The drummer from Wormed passed away. The band posted a statement on their Facebook :(

Does anyone have any thoughts on Grave Pleasures? Deathwish is releasing their new album.
