First reminder of why to avoid comment sections on most metal sites in 2018. I'm glad to see the legal system is working its course, but the victim blaming, civil lawsuit revenge rhetoric I'm seeing about the narrative here bothers me to no fucking end here.

I mean listen if you want to, no one’s telling you otherwise, but it plainly states that charges were dropped due to the well being of the alleged victim, and that they may yet face prosecution.

Speaking of which, I would love to see 10 year anniversary tours for All Shall Perish - Awaken The Dreamers or Whitechapel - This Is Exile

or better yet. double headliner

 

I loved Price of Existence but had such a hard time getting into Awaken the Dreamers. Price album got me back into listening to metal after like a 5 year hiatus, so I hold it in high regard. But Awaken the Dreamers I just couldn't dig it...a lot of it was the sloppy solos. It was like sonic overload.

Should mention that Fortress basically made me not care for any other metal that year, prob a top ten all time metal album for me.

 

I get your criticism of Awaken the Dreams, but I love it. I actually didn't get into ASP until that album so I guess I have nostalgia for it... but I love all of their albums. Have you heard "This is Where It Ends"?

 

IDK about the rest of the band, but a quick google search reveals that Mookie (one of the keyboardists) currently manages Purity Ring and possibly a few other clients. Today's shinfo for ya.

at this point, i treat them similar to how i look at Cannibal Corpse. they're not going to reinvent the wheel after being a band for 25+ years, but they consistently put out quality material especially with Rob Halford on vox. i may have to make the trip to milwaukee to see them when they come through the region in the spring.
