Damn has it really only been 10 years? Feels like this band has been in my life for so much longer haha.
Wow, ten years. I listened to Chamberlain Waits so much that summer in 2010 (along with Gaslight's American Slang later on).
Pretty wild to think about the band's drastic change and growth with those early albums. Chamberlain was quite a departure from A Lesson in the Abuse (the Hold On, Dodge EP is such a great bridge between the two releases). And Impossible Past was also a huge leap from Chamberlain. Ten years ago I never would've thought they'd be where they are in sound and popularity.
It will be such a bummer if the virus ruins our chance at seeing Cavalcade and CW sets at Fest this year. And yes, I’m projecting Menz at Fest based on no inside scoop.
A quarantine re-imagining of "Hello Exile" is on it's way: https://kingsroadmerch.com/the-menzingers/?ffm=FFM_2402f0526242e39a384acde4e82188b8
Good call. (Also, if you've not checked out the stripped down OTIP demos - essentially an acoustic album. I tossed acoustic versions of Obituaries and Gates on there as well.)
my assumption is that if it were, it would be a pre-release track since we've already heard it. i assume it'll be a re-worked version of the album version.
Clip of a new Menzingers track shared by Red Scare (first one; second is Cobra Skulls)! No details yet but based on the fact that it seems to be a test press that it was recorded from... I'm assuming this is for a 20th anniversary comp they're releasing (17 tracks). Apparently the Falcon is gonna be on it too. Pretty rad!
I can't make the Rented World show on 11/29 at TLA anymore & have 3 tickets I need to sell, I'll give this thread first dibs
