Fuck, I love the chorus to No Penance so much.

 

Both those songs are fantastic. I am ready for a new album, but everything in the After
the Party era has been great.

Feels good to be able to listen to these now while driving rather than just through my record player.

 

I love No Penance so much how is this band so damn good that even their C-sides are gold

 

To reiterate what I said after RSD: Both of these songs are better than half the tracks on After the Party to me. These guys have some amazing B-sides.

 

I’d say they fit right in the how much I enjoy After The Party. Plus Toy Soldier, The Freaks and the Cover Ep are great.

Are these Record Store Day releases anywhere for download. I want to have them beyond a streaming service.

I interrupted listening to “Elsie” by The Horrible Crowes to listen to these 2 songs, and it was so worth it hah amazing songs. Can’t wait for the new album.

 

Oh man i can’t not hear “ooooo heaven is a place on earth” for the no penance chorus haha

 

THAT’S IT! I always get the urge to sing something else every time I hear that melody and I could never put my finger on what it was haha thank you

I love both songs, but Cemetery’s Garden is my favorite of the two, mainly for the lyrical content. The “writing unauthorized biographies” line is great. Basically turned ATP into a big old double album, and it rules even harder now.

 

I remember them saying they DID have enough material for a double album. Glad we got 4 of them!

That bridge in cemetary gardens is right out of dookie and I love it
