Has a very After The Party art look. I love that record, Toy Soldier/Freaks, and I can only imagine this. Yeah Epitaph.
Every year I think "This is the year I can not get up at the asscrack of dawn to spend money on something" and every year there's a bloody 7" that I feel compelled to go and purchase.
YES! I remember them saying they had a bunch of material from the ATP sessions and could have done a double album. I’m glad we are getting overall 4 songs from it! (Including The Freaks and Toy Soldier)
They need to release a double album and call it Menzon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. I'll be here all week
I'm ready for a new album I didn't realize Freaks and Toy Soldiers were leftover songs from the last album - awfully good songs to just toss away. I thought they were new.
I’m also PRETTY SURE they are. I wanna say during one of the releases of those songs they mentioned it, but I’m going from memory. I checked the Toy Soldier Instagram and it says “produced by Will Yip” so unless they got together with him again, I’m imagining it was from those sessions....especially since these 2 new songs were. Either way, helllllz yes!!!
Came here to post the same, Tom also posted on his instastory he’s there. This is GREAT news. I love Will Yip’s sound, however, sometimes some of the albums he produces suffer from all sounding the exact same through out the whole thing. More so than others. However with ATP, they nailed it.
Anyone get the Record Store Day release? Any word on a digital release (Thrice suggest 60 days later on their record store day release)?
These songs are fantastic too although I'm not surprised. They would have fit right in anywhere on After The Party. Sometimes I have no idea how bands/labels can even decide what songs to hold back.
Thanks for sharing! Does anyone have their Covers EP that includes We Didn't Start The Fire? Still looking for that......thanks
