Considering ATP was pushed back seems really far away. Toy soldiers and The Freaks were great, but I want more new Menzingers before Spring 2020.
ATP felt like forever to be released. Lookers was out in August and we didn’t get the album until February.
Hard Times had the scoop. This ones about being little league coaches and is called Life In Right Field!
Their two little one-off songs they released over the last year have both been fucking incredible. Freaks is A+ Zingers
I feel like they are the band I trust most to release a stellar album each time. I just trust whatever they do that it’ll be solid.
Brian is my favorite songwriter and I would argue the absolute most consistent writer today. His music has meant more to me than any other band, and it ain’t even close. HOWEVER, I am terrified before every release lol. He hasn’t let me down yet and probably never will, but I love him so much that I get so nervous before every album. I’m also 25 and don’t feel like this for any other band/songwriter anymore, so that just speaks volume to how good he really is.
The number of times I walked home from a party in college listening to Sculptors and Vandals. “Walk home single seeing double.”
It’s almost Menzingers season. I listen to these guys almost exclusively the first few weeks in March when it starts to warm up.
I’ll never forget how hearing that first chorus made me feel. I remember thinking “holy shit, this is a great melody!” and it instantly got stuck in my head for weeks.
I've listened to little else the last 2 weeks other than ATP since rediscovering this band...last album that I really got into them was Impossible Past. Particularly have had Looker, Charlie's Army, and Bad Catholics on repeat.
Are The Menzingers releasing something for Record Store Day? Not trying to start a rumour, but I saw something called No Penance/Cemetery's Garden 7” on a RSD list posted on NME. Anyone able to confirm?
