Started Nabokov's Pale Fire in my new quest to read all books mentioned in Menz songs (previous ones I knocked out this year are Lolita and 1984)

 

Where's pale fire and 1984 mentioned?

 

"I was the shadow of the waxwing slain, I felt the false azure of the window pane" from the obits is a reference to pale fire

Only possible tour I can see out of this is if Menz are opening the Japandroids/Cloud Nothings show. But that also doesn't seem likely to me

Any of you who didn't go to Project Pabst Philadelphia at the Electric Factory on Saturday screwed up, The Menz killed it and played I think 22 songs. PBRs were flying and the crowd was a jam. They did a Riot Fest aftershow at GMan Tavern in Chicago last night.

 

After show last night was so awesome as was their set at Riot. What a fucking band..

I can't wait to see them again next month! Anyone going to any of the Sublime dates or headliner dates?
