whats so funny about that is strawberry mansion has a nearly identical but worse hook than no penance so if thats true they certainly didnt care about stuff sounding like it after the fact haha
That was the first album in a long time that truly was incredibly relatable for me lyrically. It was like they were speaking about my life. I just fell in love. Plus, the music was so good. 10/10 album
The Flatliners put out Inviting Light like 2 months later and the closer also kinda rips off Letterbomb, even down to the lyrics. Weird coincidence
Also livin ain’t easy sounds like a Green Day song and now I can’t think of which one…macys day parade?
Christie Road? Idk lol the mezingers (who I adore) have a lot of songs that sounds like a lot of Green Day songs
What the fuck happened to this band? Feels like they fell off the face of the earth since their last album 2 years ago. I haven’t heard anything about them regarding music tour or otherwise in some time.
They toured Some Of It Was True globally. And Greg has become a dad. And they are bringing out a new album next year. They have been plenty active!!
Apparently the band is gonna be part of this year’s Topps Allen and Ginter baseball card set. The checklist isn’t out yet but someone “close to the band” posted about it on Reddit this week.
Band has been consistently touring. They did a headliner this year. Last year they did a coheadliner with the Wonder Years. That’s along with all of the other randoms shows they’ve done and they are now growing their families. They can take as much time as they want if it means they keep on making music and are happy/healthy. Bands don’t owe us shit.
Not to mention they’ve been pretty active this whole time lol they just had their biggest headliner ever like a month ago
