was that your silhouette in st stephen's green? coming over to rescue me from the worst of myself from the feeling i no longer felt i wish you were here with me i'm all alone in dublin searching for something wishing you were here with me she knows my heart she knows how to start it
wasnt in love with this but it definitely had its moments. closing two songs are absolutely killer. ultraviolet and the t/t were my other standouts
Will be on repeat all day. Have been debating buying the release day poster since last night… I don’t need another poster to hang in the office but want it lol
I only listened once while commuting on the train, so maybe not the best first listen, but I thought it was decent. Feels like a grower. Standouts were for sure the title track, Ultraviolet, and there was a Tom song in there too, but to be honest I wasn't totally blown over by the project overall.
This is great and will only get better. Love the sequencing and pace of these songs. So many fun melodies on the guitar- which sound amazing with how this was produced.
Guitar tone in the title track is so good. There's enough little flourishes to differentiate how this sounds from previous releases. Liking this a lot so far. Glad it came out in early fall.
Early favs: "Some of It Was True," "Come on Heartache," "Take It to Heart," "Ultraviolet." Wish the closer went somewhere bigger and grander with that epic title.
the closer kinda sounds like a more upbeat song off pressure machine (particularly had me thinking in the car outside) and that is a vibe i am very here for
The run from the start until Take it to Heart rules. Feels like it drops off slightly after that and never quite picks back up. Definitely a lot to come back to though, and I'll be paying attention a little closer to the back half on my second listen.
