I was thinking this came out in Oct/Nov so what a welcome surprise to open my Spotify to this morning
I like this a lot, agree on the Farewell Youth comment, that one on first listen not as keen on. But the rest is top
I like this. I haven't listened to the album in a while, maybe I'll throw it on when I'm done with the other new albums today.
America PT2 is better than this version - it definitely feels like they tried to shoehorn in the old lyrics. Should have just made America PT2 the opener tbh
Dig this a lot more than HE weirdly. The production is much better and I’ve always had a soft spot for acoustic Menzingers.
After The After Party? On The Improbable Future? I am just thankful they did From Exile. Having stuff like this, the 4 song cover ep, singles and that kind of stuff is fun to have between albums.
Listening to this again now. Really enjoying it. This, along with the regular record, are perfect for fall.
2nd listen of this has me blown away at how good it is. Anna and Strangers Forever take already great songs to the next level. Strain Your Memory is pure Americana bliss. Everything has a refreshed sound, it isn't just "hey let's play our songs with acoustic guitars".
Basically my thoughts exactly except I’m also not a huge fan of this version of Farewell Youth. Everything else is as good or better than the album
This is really enjoyable, going to be listening a lot this fall. Can’t wait to see them live again in a few years.
Only one in disappointed in is Farewell Youth. That's my favorite song on the album but this versions pretty meh. It doesn't even sound like much of an album closer compared to the original.
Not really feeling this, tbh. It's a cool experiment, but I think I like all the original versions more.
