1. After the Party 2. Hello Exile 3. On the Impossible Past 4. Chamberlain Waits 5. A Lesson in the Abuse of Information Technology 6. Rented World
OTIP RW CW ATP HE CW and RW are the only hard ones for me. Love everything except HE though, which is good, yet disappointing. Wish they would stop recording with Yip.
HE RW ATP OTIP CW ALITA - Actually have never listened to this. I won't be surprised If people who aren't that into Hello Exile will end up liking From Exile more.
1. After the Party 2. On the Impossible Past 3. Hello Exile 4. Chamberlain Waits 5. Rented World 6. A Lesson in the Abuse
OTIP ATP CW Hello Exile Rented World Lesson Hard to rank aside from Lesson being last. Still love that record though
Also, I am very very excited to hear After Exile. High School Friend, is easily my favorite of the three tracks released.
It's not Will Yip's fault the songs are lackluster. I get that not everyone loves his production, but ATP is probably their best-sounding record as a whole.
I just think working with someone else might make things more interesting and I do not like the production on HE at all. I will say that ATP sounds really good, probably behind only OTIP in terms of production for me.
Yeah I agree the production here isn't great. I have a hard time believing this album would have been significantly better with someone else behind the boards.
1. On the Impossible Past 2. After the Party 3. Hello Exile 4. Rented World 5. Chamberlain Waits Love all five. Their first record is fine, but a level below everything else for me personally.
The good songs on Rented World are so good. Also, good on these guys for not just trying to make On The Impossible Past 2, or After The Party 2.
I have a soft spot for Rented World (Rodent! Transient Love! Where Your Heartache Exists! In Remission! When You Died!), but it's the record where the divide between Greg and Tom's songs is most apparent. On OTIP, ATP and HE they're both firing on all cylinders.
