LOL believe me, I’m right there with ya. As an old man who begins feeling his feet wearing thin by the end of the first band, I was very pleased seeing all the people around me turn around to leave. No shame in admitting that I immediately leaned on the stage and let out an old man sigh of relief haha
They had two nights in San Fran over the weekend. Played Strawberry Mansion and Farewell Youth for the first time and also played Boy Blue, Sculptors and Midwestern States. And opened with Anna both nights instead of America Hoping to get Strawberry and Youth in Philly!!
Oh hell yeah! I'm not checking setlists out but I am VERY excited to hear Farewell Youth has made its debut. Hopefully it got a decent reaction and they keep playing it.
Weird flex but ok America is, like, such a good opener I don't know why you would play it in any other slot
Good setlist changes, I am seeing them Friday I love the new album but I think America is still my favorite song. Goddamn that song rips and THE DRUMS are so great
It’s fine. It’d make a better recording project than it was a live cut imo. The crowd goes off for Casey, so to take some of the punch out of that song was a little odd to me. I think Gates would have been a better live song to do it with.
I've seen them do Gates totally acoustic once I believe and it was really good. Also I went back to this album today and it rules so hard.
Anyone in Europe, they just announced Mannequin Pussy and Spanish Love Songs as their 2 openers for the tour. THAT IS ABSOLUTELY ISANE. In the US they bring the fucking assholes of Culture Abuse.
saw them last night and wanted to say that Last to Know is even better live. Holy shit what a song, and Tom really nails it. also over the last few tours their Texas crowds have started sucking big time. Bunch of rude people with no care for anyone else. I saw the dude from culture abuse walking past me and I flipped him off. I doubt that he saw it but it sure felt good.
