feel like they're definitely the kind of band that can go the Frank Turner and Every Time I Die route and curate their own weekend-long festival type thingy. That would be really cool.

I think this is their best album.

 

Found myself singing "London Drugs" all weekend but since I didn't want my kids singing about drugs I kept changing the lyrics to something about hugs while they were around.

Also, that fade-in on "Strawberry Mansion" is perfect.

I got "London Drugs" stuck in my gf's head and she hasn't even heard the song

 

Hot-take but...,

I think I'd be a little more into this album if "Portland", "Strawberry Mansion", and "Hello Exile" were removed and made into B-sides.

The album would be a shorter listen, and the samey-ness of the album to the rest of their discography would be more tolerable. I dont think I'd miss those tracks on the album either, and they'd be great B-sides.

Also have the super polished, generic sounding, "Whooaaa ohhhhs" removed from "High School Friend". Really cant stand that part, so cheesy sounding.

This album is still their least interesting though, imo.

 

I don't agree at all! Portland for me is one of the best songs on it. Hello Exile is one of the most different sounding Menzingers songs, so don't see how not having it makes it sound less 'samey'
