I’ve had Anna, then America and now I’ll have this song stuck in my head. I am really excited for Hello Exile. I’ve said it before about the vocals being a little to buried for my liking, but the song itself is great and I feel fine about making the comment about the vocals being buried because I saw they play Anna live and it was another great Menzingers song that was right at home in their set list. Great band, great live show, and they seem like down to earth guys, and they are a nice fit on Epitaph and seem to growing and evolving naturally. Maybe I’m just greedy, but I hope they have a lot of b sides again.I’ve loved how after enjoying After The Party which was probably my AOTY and still gets regular listens, we got a covers EP, Toy Soldier, The Freaks, No Penance, and Cemetery's Garden.
I'm not going to listen to this one, saving it for the album drop. But I can't imagine the new LP will be anything but great. All the early feedback I've seen for the whole LP is that it's another great Menzingers album, not reinventing the wheel but continuing to excel at what they do best. Sounds perfect to me.
Actually liked that more than i was expecting based on the reax, but i do also agree these first three aren't hitting me like ATP and RW, but still good.
I’m glad they didn’t ask him to include Hello Exile because bands always say their new album is best. Seems like a fair self ranking. Also, wish the album/vocal production followed ATP/Freaks/Toy Soldier, especially with Will back producing. Song quality so far has been greatness though.
Allegations against Joe’s brother in the Accountability thread. Not sure how connected he is to the band, just putting it in here to make people aware
It goes without saying but with how big the Philly scene is and how big The Menzingers family is, he was connected just about everywhere. Gonna be difficult understanding who knew what.
From what I could find, he did a couple tours early on. The band has been managed by Skotty Bell for a while at this point. It seems that Tony was pretty involved with booking shows at the Ava House though and I saw that he sold merch for some bands. Wasn’t able to locate any of the bands he managed.
I'm not listening to the new song until the record is out. I can wait one and half weeks. Incredibly stoked for this album though. Probably the only record that'll get me to turn off blink right now.
