Doesn’t have the immediacy of Anna, but it’s refreshing to not have his vocals drowned out in the mix. Song is also good.
This sounds so sloppy to me. Vocal melody in the first two verses is so weird. Lyrics meh. Gang vocals outro. bummed is an understatement.
Vocal delivery reminds me of Don’t Go Throwing Roses, musically reminds me of Rented World. Song is growing on me the more I listen.
Yeah, this is exactly how I felt about the style. Feels like they took Rented World and cranked up the folk/Americana. It definitely doesn't hit as hard as their past lead singles, but I dig it.
Agreed. Although with this new trend of dropping a single without an album announcement, it’s possible they’re saving the more traditional single for the next round and this is more of a “set the tone” single. Who knows.
