To be fair there were legit only 3 Tom songs on Hello Exile lol

I have a way harder time deciphering what Tom is actually saying lyrics wise half the time

 

If the Menz want people to respect Tom songs more they'll break out bangers like Cemetery's Garden, So It Goes, Sculptors and Vandals, and less of Thick as Thieves, House On Fire (i like that song they just overplay it), and Thick and Thieves.

 

I also have a real hard time with this, especially on ATP and Hello Exile

 

Yeah for about a year I loved OTIP and had no idea there were 2 singers. Now it's obvious- if I can comprehend all the lyrics it's Greg.
I'd say my top 15 Menzingers songs are probably all Greg. But Tom's songs are integral to my enjoyment of their records. They really serve their purpose by breaking up the Greg tracks. I think the albums would suffer if they were 100% nostalgia narratives.
Also, Hello Exile is some of Tom's absolute best work. The first record since Chamberlain where I like every Tom song a lot.

 

Lmao I became a fan with OTIP and it wasn't until I saw them live after Rented World that I learned they had two singers

 

I haven't listened to Hello Exile in a while, but Bad Actors is pretty damn good. Reminds me of what I remember that album sounding like.

I think they’ve been mentioning it every show this tour, but it wasn’t really a known thing until the first show and the post from Saturday.

I couldn’t go to their MA show last weekend and it was probably the first MA Menzingers show I’ve missed in forever and OF COURSE they open with Charlie’s Army. My friends and I have a thing where we always wish they’d play it but never do haha

 

Gimme that new album asap. Do we know who produced it? Yip again?

 

Really excited to see them in Harrisburg tomorrow :)

they let the audience vote last night, Charlie vs. Irish goodbyes. Charlie won pretty easily.

 

I like Charlie's Army well and good, but woe to that audience.

 

They play Irish Goodbyes so frequently that I'd be voting for Charlie's Army in that case just to mix it up haha
