More often than not Lincoln Hall prices are pretty reasonable. I rarely see tickets go for $50 unless it's a big name artist so it's a bit strange The Menzingers are on the pricier side.

Maybe the premium is because they will play Mexican Guitars three times during the set

Sucks the prices are inflated on this date, but I still think it will be worth it. Should be a fun week with this show and then road tripping on Saturday to see them in Iowa City.

Honestly happy to pay the premium considering I was thinking of making that trip to IC.

Yeah we are using points on a nice hotel down there, that is right by the venue, some dive bars, and a record store. We booked it when the tour was announced just in case the Rise Against tour was the only Chicago show for now. We figured we'd never go to Iowa City on its own so the idea of seeing them in a small town that was only 3.5 hours away felt like a fun trip.

I basically made a similar trip out there 10 years ago to visit a friend and when Bayside, PBC, MD&M, and IIOI we’re doing some one offs in route to Warped. It was fun once, not ideal for me again with no one to crash for free with lol

So, are we gonna get a new album from these guys this year or early 2022? Crazy it's already been almost 2 years since HE. Its definitely become my favorite of their. I return to it A LOT.

i would bank on 2023 with their upcoming tour schedule.

unless they banged one out earlier in the year which doesn't seem likely.

I fully expect them to tour in 2022 for sure. They announced on their podcast that they are doing a west coast in the spring next year. I’d imagine Europe would be next year too. Despite HE being out for a while they really haven’t toured it completely. They also did a quarantine album so they aren’t really dying to make new music. Not saying anything won’t be released, but I’d think a new album won’t happen next year.

I feel like any band that didn't record and put a new album "in the bank" during the 12-18 months they had off is doing it wrong. At minimum they should have an album written. They knew once the world turned back on they'd want to be on tour for a year plus.

their ones of the tightest sounding bands live around imo so i would be all over a live album

Eh. Every band is going to do what they want to do. If they still feel like they have enough time with Hello Exile left in the tank, then let them go for it. With the rate that vinyl production delays are affecting everything at the moment, you're looking at a Q4 2022/Q1 2023 release at the earliest if you went into the studio to start from scratch today. It's gonna be a bit.

Given how their last few album cycles went, I'd expect maybe a b-side release late this year or early next year to coincide with their touring though.

And they did do a new album during the pandemic. They recorded and released the re-imagined album. I think it’s safe to say now that they can all get recordings at a relatively high quality at home (which was part of doing the quarantine record) they probably have a bank of ideas and songs that they can pull together when it’s album time. They really only did about 3 months of HE touring before lockdown hit. I think touring that record still is very reasonable.

Anyone catch these guys in Mark Hoppus’ radio show yesterday? Gonna listen this morning. I hope he calls them out on their Bad Religion lyrics.

Hopefully with Bill Stevenson this time around.

Nothing against Will. Just want to see what another producer can get out of these dudes.

Seeing them tonight. I spoiled the setlist for myself, and I’m a little bummed there’s a few tracks from hello exile that they aren’t playing. I mean theyre even playing more ATP tracks than HE with is a little odd. Did they even get to play many HE-focused shows before covid?

they did a tour for it in 2019, but I think they recognize that ATP is a bigger than favorite and goes off more live
