Such an incredibly dependable band for me, everything they have put out since Impossible Past has made my top five for the year (usually top 3). New song is just more of them doing their thing, and I love that exact thing.

Song is great, I don’t necessarily care what tempo a Menz song is as long as Greg is doing his little shouty voice and there’s plenty of that here.
I feel like the band has been treading water since ATP. It was fine before because the songwriting was stronger. But now everything just sounds meh. still the best live band though.

My sentiments exactly minus the negativity. The last two albums just didn't hit the same for me. This is my favorite song of theirs on first listen since After the Party so I'm here for more stuff in this vein as opposed to Nobody's Heroes.

This is true but weirdly they are one of the few artists that I don't mind kind of sounding the same-ish over the course of time. Idk they're great at the particular thing they do and I love that they give us exactly what we expect from a Menzingers song. Someone asked my opinion recently about Nobody's Heroes and I basically said "it's great, it sounds like the Menzingers" lol
I hold Some of It Was True in extremely high regard. So I’m looking forward to this. I got the rust colored variant

I came in here to defend some of the last record but checked the tracklist and don’t remember any of these songs lol. I meant to defend a song or two off of Hello Exile. It is crazy that I have not really enjoyed a Menzos record in almost a decade.
Maybe won’t mean much to the thread cause I liked the last two albums too … but this one’s good. Fun summer vibe, kinda sitting between the last two in style. No complaints at all from my end.

I didn't love the last album, but I love Will Yip's production with them, and this time it sounds more like the production of ATP with a little more maturity so I'm all for it.
