The opening track, so good. These dudes really have a special way of articulating getting older.

 

I expected this to be great and its freaking blew me away after first listen. Tellin Lies and Thick as Thieves is an incredible one-two punch to opener the record. As usual the closer is perfect.

 

The Bars is dope as hell

 

Livin Ain't Easy is pretty weak

This was great, only song I didn't enjoy was the last one. Total Green Day vibes. It's awesome to see their lyrics shift over time as they get older. I really don't think that they will top OTIP in terms of songwriting, but this is a very strong album.

I mean yeah it's always been there, I just find it more pronounced on this

 

Tom sounds great on this. I love that Thick as Thieves has like an 80s pop metal riff

Midwestern States is so good

 

Lot of jams on this album. Different vibes from RW and OTIP. I'm not complaining.

 

This is their best opener imo and that's a fucking feat considering Good Things, Asshole and Sunday Morning

 

It's good but idt it's anywhere near Good Things or Sunday Morning, they're two of the best Menzinger songs ever. I'd honestly consider Good Things one of the better openers in recent punk releases.

 

Think I'm gonna hold off as I do my ceremonious listen to their entire discography this week. ALITAOIT and HOD today, CW tomorrow, OTIP wed, RW thurs, and ATP friday

 

Charlie's Army is a bit weak, but it's also sandwiched between two of the better songs on the album

 

Charlie's army is my favorite so far actually, amazing book

 

I dunno - those are two of my favourite menz songs, and have to agree about Good Things, but at the moment this song has taken a grip on me so unbelievably hard, haha. This is everything I never knew I wanted out of a Menzingers song

Ok black mass is my favorite so far now
