OH. Jesus. Yeah, okay, now I get it. I was really confused because I hadn't heard of them working with Yip before, so I was like, hmm guess I missed that.
Honestly would have hyphenated 'our fifth album', dislike using commas in that way but maybe that's just my writing style
The drummer of my band said "we should get will yipp to mix our record" I was like uhh he's probably too expensive but seriously a lot of people really do like his sound, it's a raw sound and I think it's a nice change to all of the over produced stuff out there
Unfortunately, that album is my least favorite PBC album and I'm a massive fan. Never have gone back to it lol. Didn't like the production but the songs are so far below their past material and Jimmy's declining voice is depressing for me
No need to get so defensive man, I simply dislike the title. I think you've slightly over reacted to what was a rather throwaway comment.
One of my favourite records of the past five years, so well done. That said, Will's production is rather hit and miss I must say.
we've been discussing him for pages now... EDIT: in brief... many people hate him, most don't feel anyway... me, I like his work on Keep You, Rooms of the House and on the Turnover album... Hyperview was ok... a lot of craft goes into his work, but it sometimes sounds muddy...
tbh i bet Yip has even had to turn down many bands because of how much work he gets. seems like he starts production on a record the day after finishing the previous
