At least Swellers went out with a pure fuckin bang(er). That flint comp song was straight up one of the best in their discography imo. Perfect ending to the band's career.

Fireworks I was so gutted by because it just feels like they have so much more to give - OCL felt like it was leading to something.

Basically just need more Fireworks albums tbh at least 5 gimme pls

 

Every time this thread updates I'm get excited that it's a stream of the album lol

Exactly how I feel too. I always liked them before, but that album made them one of my favorite bands.

 

Completely agree. What a song! I was expecting one final Swellers show/benefit for Flint since they never played a final hometown show and once they released the song I really thought it would happen and was bummed out haha

 

This guy is from Michigan and can confirm it is a cool place. Our governor is terrible and our winters take up a third of the year but I still think the good outweighs the bad.

I'm still bummed I missed The Swellers final show here, and never saw Fireworks. I've never seen The Menzingers either, for that matter.

 

Please go see the Menzingers on this upcoming run. That is your homework assignment. It's really the best kind of homework to be assigned.

 

Chances of a stream at this point seem slim, but what a weekend surprise it would be

 

Not getting my hopes up. Monday or Tuesday seems more likely at this point.

 

They are passing through Detroit... I could probably make that drive.

 

I'm coming up for that show I think. Magic Stick is one of my all time favorite venues and that show is going to be fucking awesome there

 

To catch up: would do anything for a dwellers reunion. I assume this streams Tuesday.m

I love this band and don't listen to them enough at all. gotta change that

 

Michigan represent. I don't really like Detroit that much though, tbh, haha.
