After the Party might be my favorite of the three singles yet, upon first listen. I need to give it more spins before I can put it above Lookers though.
It looks like indie record stores are selling a translucent red. I know it's not green, but it may be of interest to you!
They day I die happy is the day I hear them perform Lilith Avi live. Ex GF broke up with ya boi and I listened to that song and bawled.
Can't wait for this.I have strong feelings related with this band.when they were like year ago at Royale in Boston I was there with my friends and got to see my exgirlfriend that I still really loved.End up like I got superwasted, got on the stage and took my shirt with huge American flag on the back and held it up of my head while I was yellin that I still love her hahahha.all for try to impressed her again.we got to make out in the middle of the pit on ,,Rodent" really wild. However,I really fucked all up later that night. So if anybody from Boston remember that douchebag who was like 1000times on a stage it was a me.all because of girl haha.I can tell Menzingers just bring some fucking emotions here
HOLY SHIT. I'm like PRETTY confident I was right behind you. I just remember in the middle of the pit while everyone is going wild, I see two people making out and not giving a shit. Then you went straight on stage on a mission. Holy shit. Amazing. I'm like 85% sure it was you!
After a couple days with ATP (the song), I am ready to say that it's up there with Lookers. I think Lookers is a better single in the sense that it's more poppy and thus has more crossover appeal. But ATP is a classic Menzingers song. That song would not have been out of place on some of their past records. Both songs are better than Bad Catholics, which is also a really good tune. I'm so excited for this album and their headline tour.
It reminds me of something one of my recording teachers in high school said. What do you do live, just fade into the floorboards? Lol. I think in some instances it can work (usually need the context of the album though), but overall I'd much prefer a definitive end
The fade out has grown on me. I actually like it now and I think if they just jam out the ending live, it will be great.
