Just re-watched the “After the Party” video for the first time in a while. That shit fucks me up. The actors playing the couple in it are so fucking good.
I try to watch that video once every few weeks. It’s so good. That and Sorority Noise’s No Halo video are def my favorites of the year.
The one shot going into the 2nd chorus where the drum roll comes in and the actress bends down to scream into the camera then it cuts to her picking her head up off the bar is some truly artistic shit.
This album’s so damn good. As someone who kinda ignored their past work, it feels so good every time I throw this on.
I listened to it in full while at work yesterday. It's definitely top 3 for this year. Also, as someone who doesn't like most of his production work, Will Yip crushed it on this record. It sounds incredible.
I think he also did the video for "Map Change" by Every Time I Die. That one also crushed me when I first saw it.
