You going to the London show with PUP and Cayetana supporting? I'm so hyped. Seeing the songs from this album at 2000 Trees was amazing.
Yeah it's really solid. A nice switch up from the whole year For the love of god though please swap Nice Things out for a different Tom song haha
Weird to see Good Things and Burn split up. I Was Born and Sculptors seem like the only surprise songs in the set. Most of it is just ordering some songs differently.
Im figuring the set tonight will be different and then they'll do the same two sets in Asbury. I just really hope they play I was Born again tonight
After the Party is an interesting opener, but WAY better than Your Wild Years. I feel like After the Party gets a top tier reaction from the crowd which I think is good towards the end of the set. I saw them twice open with Tellin’ Lies and I think that’s the most solid one so far.
I don’t see it ever happening, but I like the idea of opening with Rodent via an extended intro into the song. I agree about the album openers doubling as good set openers, but I also like mixing things up. Probably my favorite time seeing them was when they opened with I Can’t Seem To Tell.
my favorite set opener i've seen of theirs was i can't seem to tell first time i saw them they did it, just immense
"Your Wild Years" works way better later in the set. Not sure why they would ever open with it. I'm not sure if it will ever get better than them opening the ATP tour with "Tellin' Lies" into "Asshole". I'd love to see a set open with "I Can't Seem to Tell" or "Rodent" though. Also, splitting "Good Things" and "Burn After Writing" up is just wrong. I don't really think of them as 2 separate songs at this point because of how well they go together on OTIP
I liked this album a lot but the nostalgic themes really keep growing on me more and more and my esteem for this keeps rising to sort of ridiculous levels.
