They have all of their records, a tour date specific poster, a windbreaker with the guy with his head down from the cover on the back. They have tour shirt in grey that has the classic Menzingers script and a faded/blurry picture of the band below. They have a Bad Catholics zip up and shirt. I forget what else. Some people didn't dig their merch, but I liked it. I got the tour shirt.
I pretty consistently skip Black Mass when I'm driving because I'm usually looking for some energy but otherwise it's one of my favorites on here
Anyone have the Covers EP? Hope they find a way to release any besides from this. A separate EP would be awesome.
I don't think it's done yet. They made a post on Instagram earlier about the tracklisting and artwork. I think they recorded it in Arkansas on one of their off-days on tour. They also made a post before the tour I think about it getting delayed a little bit. It's in the pipeline though.
This album is still really a great one. My attention has been elsewhere musically but I listened to it again yesterday and it still holds up as a very solid release. Hopefully that means that it won't get less enjoyable for me over time.
Mine's probably "The souvenirs of happiness in the moment Your wild years that you often mention The sands of time in an hourglass That you're always begging for back"
people dont like black mass and charlies army?! yall are crazy. boy blue is the only one i dont love, but the bridge redeems it to an extent. lyrically your wild years is my favorite.
bars is the real weakest song on the album. The lyric I've been loving the past few days (I wouldn't say my favorite overall, but right now it's my favorite) aside from the russian doll line is the one right before it: "Like a kaleidoscope in vibrant hues, I navigate around your tattoos, Said you got that one on a whim when you were breaking up with him" also the line before THAT, the "sillouhette in high top speakers etc..." convinced me to buy a pair of converse high tops
I do sympathize with The Bars observation. Musically I dig it, especially the bridge where the tempo shifts. However, it seems like Tom really forced the lyrics though into making it some sort of drinking anthem, when to me it comes off as cliche and contrived. After the Party is a top 5 Menz song lyrically for me and the music video is great.
