Maybe I'm not that smart but can anyone explain the chorus of Where Your Heartache Exists? It says where, but then says when you are alone and when you're around me. So I get that part. Just grammatically speaking should both lines say when instead of one saying where? Or am I missing something?
The space in which the heartache exists occupies the locations in which the person is either alone or around Greg
going to see these guys next Wednesday in SF Saw em live with Gaslight but completely dont remember the set. real excited
On the line that ends with 'window pane' in Your Wild Years, I can't un-hear 'and I guess that's why they call it window pain' every time after, because of that Eminem song :(
Grad school has either made me a great writer or ruined my writing skills, leaning towards the latter lol
is it corny to say that it feels like this album has been in my life so much longer than just a month? great month.
The person in question gets heartache when they're with Greg, and also when they're alone. I know that feeling well which is why I love that song lol
Set last night for those interested with a caveat. I don't remember the exact order minus the beginning and end, but the songs are correct haha. It's basically what they did in Australia, but they added a few more new songs in place of deeper cuts like Mexican Guitars or another CW song. Also, the playlist I tweeted is what plays before the show, between bands, and after the show. Chris #2 from Anti-Flag came out and sang on the Obituaries. It was an awesome opening night. Lookers Asshole Nice Things Good Things Burn Thick As Thieves Rodent Obituaries Bad Catholics House On Fire Irish Goodbyes Time Tables After the Party Ava House Midwestern States My Friend Kyle Your Wild Years Gates Encore: Tellin' Lies Casey In Remission
Such a good show. Anyone going to the rest of the tour should be very excited. The acoustic run and the Aussie shows were a perfect tune up for the US tour. They were basically on point last night. Felt like it was the second week of shows, honestly. The crowd went bonkers for Lookers, Bad Catholics, and ATP, which makes a lot of sense. It's cool that their fans are generally digging new material. The other new songs got positive reactions, but for only being a month old it's hard for every fan to know them. It was awesome for some folks in the pit that knew House On Fire, got a nice fist pump party going during the part where Tom sings "Yeah, does it make you nervous...". I always felt that was a classic Menzingers anthem/chanting part.
Haha I played the thing front to back like the entire first week or two and I wanted to give it a break to see if it has staying power. Spoiler alert: it still totally kicks ass.
They probably won't, but it would be cool if they changed the verses in the Billy Joel cover to more current events. Keep the melody the same and keep the chorus the same. Basically make it an updated version of the song.
