Young couple Margot and Tyler travel to a remote island to eat at an exclusive restaurant where Chef Slowik has prepared a lavish menu, with some shocking surprises. Starring Anya Taylor-Joy, Nicholas Hoult, Ralph Fiennes, and Hong Chau
Feels weird seeing the trailer show up when I literally just read the screenplay yesterday. It's really good and clever, but the few things I didn't like have me thinking Adam McKay's involvement will ruin it. Trailer is also very safe and non-spoilery
Maybe they didn’t actually give away the movie? The barbarian trailer seemed like it did but there was way more to that.
It’s just really obvious that a certain activity is happening after the dinner in one of those trailers and I don’t feel like it needed to be given away. You could easily convey the tone and the basic premise without it, I feel like.
Was this pushed back or was it always November? For some reason I always thought this would be in time for spooky season.
This was okay. Fiennes and Taylor-Joy are expectedly great and the ensemble is enjoyable, even though they’re all one note. It’s mostly style over substance and once it reveals its cards, there’s not a ton to it. It’s worth like one watch. Definitely feels weaker after seeing “Glass Onion.”
quite fun, didn't need it to be anything more than that Where did you go to school? Brown. Student loans? ..No? I'm sorry, you're dying
