Yeah probably but I kinda forget the plot of the first movie and how much it differed from the novel. In the second book, Jonas and Tanaka open a Sea World of sorts with the surviving megalodon from the first book. But if this trailer is any indication, it will stray far from a lot of the details and plot points in that story.
The Chinese resort in the first film was just a straight-up ad. The Chinese productions don't really try to hide it. What a fall from grace for Wheatley. Kill List was terrifying.
I am hearing that the sequel is not even fun in a bad way. How did Wheatley get attached to this?? Still probably gonna see it though
THE BOTTOM LINE - More megs, less fun. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/m...cb95ba466b94b8eee6995e3e72502e2a62b11944257f1
I still don't understand how you put all of the elements together that the first film had going for it and come out the other end with a movie almost completely devoid of fun, but I'm hoping maybe this time it's a different result...
I watched this with my wife and kids tonight and they all liked it and we had a blast. I suppose there's a chance I was just being a crabby old man about the first one. If it was the kind of gory movie I was hoping for the first time I never would've let them watch it so.
I just saw the 1st one - it was ok, Im not usually a fan of this genre., But the 2nd one is on also, so I Might watch it for dumb fun I guess.
I watched the first one again with my kids and wife in anticipation of us all watching the second one, and I enjoyed it much more this time around after having been initially very disappointed in it when it first came out, but I would say the second one is definitely better.
Watched Meg 2 over the weekend and was very disappointed that there are like zero kills the entire first half of the movie. Idk why they dont just go balls to the wall shark killing spree like 75% of the movie.
