Well, the Architect did say that each version of the Matrix has a Morpheus (more or less) and since Fishburne Morpheus is dead, it makes sense there would be a new one

 

I am so ready for this movie.

 

I have to keep reminding myself that it’s probably going to suck shit, all things considered, and I shouldn’t get too hyped

Doesn't red pill have some sort of strange connotation among centrists/conservatives? Isn't it like how they idolize Joker and Fight Club, completely missing the point?

 

Yap. They co-opted the red pill to essentially mean having your eyes “opened” to the wisdom of conservatism and the Republican party. Idiots, all of them. Read any comment thread under a Matrix trailer or article (actually, don’t) and you’ll inevitably run into a group of bearded white dudes in their trucks wearing sunglasses telling each other “Oh I was red pilled a loooong time ago” and then they emoji-five each other and like wink and shit as if they’re speaking in some super secret code that only they are privy to and I want to die.

 

The Wachowskis are not a fan of it either

Ironically, the red pill in the movie is said to look like an estrogen pill that trans women used in the 90’s so it’s even goofier with that context.

 

Huh. Mine are these little blue things. Wait, does that mean I'm blue pilled?

 

reloaded and revolutions are great movies. this will also be great

 

I've seen the trailer in theaters a few times now and I'm just getting more and more excited.
