The documentary all about The Matches has been given a VHS release by Broke Horror Fan.

Bleeding Audio: The Rise and Fall of The Matches arrives on VHS in in a black clamshell case with two versions to choose from: a standard edition with Saul Bass-inspired art (75 stocked) and a variant with hardcore-inspired art by Broke Horror Fan’s Alex DiVincenzo (limited to 25).

Each tape includes an exclusive introduction by The Matches frontman Shawn Harris. It is officially licensed from Cranked Up Films and has been approved by director Chelsea Christer.

After building a tight-knit local music community, Oakland punk rock band The Matches were poised to be the next big thing. They signed a record deal, toured the world, and grew a thriving fanbase, yet remained virtually penniless. Their story overlaps with the drastic changes in the music industry since the digital revolution.

Bleeding Audio is an intimate portrait of The Matches' promising career, defeating break up, and inspiring reunion. It's told through the eyes of the humble bandmates along with music industry heavy hitters including Mark Hoppus (Blink 182), Nick Hexum (311), Tom Higgenson (Plain White T’s), Justin Pierre (Motion City Soundtrack), Simon Neil (Biffy Clyro), Cassadee Pope (The Voice), and Kevin Lyman (Warped Tour).
