I get this 100%, but also with this one in particular, not going to the theaters lets the worst parts of the fanbase win.
when rewatching Loki season 1 a week or so ago, before the episode with He Who Remains, I asked my fiance if she also wanted to rewatch Quantumania before starting Loki season 2 and she said "why? what's that got to do with Loki?" I don't think it's wrong to say we're getting diminishing returns with the MCU I have pretty low expectations for The Marvels
I'm not. I'm getting exactly what I expect: an entertaining escape from the meaningless black hole of reality.
ok dude but you don't have to get annoyed when someone brings up that they're not as hot on it as you are, which you do in like, every single MCU conversation lol
tbh I agree with @JoshIsMediocre that the MCU is in a pretty diminishing returns phase and that this isn't our responsibility. but ms marvel was one of the few lights of the last phase so that's what's got me intrigued with this one.
if it's the same conversation and the same regulars here having these conversations are you expecting their viewpoints to change?
yeah for sure I liked Ms Marvel quite a bit, I was just trying to say that I wasn't getting a ticket to this and thinking that I'm doing it to to counteract annoying bad faith internet people that hate brie larson or something
I only get annoyed because it's such a broken record at this point. And it's not just this, it's a lot of things. People having the same conversations and reaching the same conclusions and going nowhere. Here, the politics thread, the gaming thread... Sorry, not trying to rain on people's parade, and if this is fun for those involved, fine, but I just don't see the point in beating the same dead horse at every opportunity. Where does it ever get us?
yeah I get annoyed when @imthegrimace says scrubs is bad but I know he feels that way and sometimes I'll post a gif in response but that's all idk how many daily active users are on chorus but like, we're bound to beat some horses to death ya know
