Iman seems like one of the few actors/actresses in the MCU that has any idea what's going on/already happened with the overall MCU story.
If you like Iman Vellani, you should read the 4-issue miniseries she’s co-writing, Ms Marvel: The New Mutant. (There’s one more issue left, and then it’ll be collected in a single trade paperback.) It’s the best Kamala Khan material since G. Willow Wilson’s run ended. Love that she’s sincerely into comics, to the point of supporting her childhood shop with signings, give various comic runs and creators shoutouts, and not limit herself to talking Marvel. In one interview about the book, she gave Bitch Planet a shoutout, lol. She just seems super cool in general.
I thought it would be fun to attempt to explain what is going on and then see how off I am. More fun than working at least. Scott did not defeat Kang after the events in Quantumania. There are a lot of Kangs in many universes. Loki finale will in some way reiterate this. In The Marvels we'll get to see a mutant - confirming the X-Men exist. We meet X-Men from other universes (Wolverine) before the X-Men from the main Avengers universe in Deadpool 3 (I guess this already happened in Multiverse of Madness though). More heroes from other universes (Tobey, Eric Bana... Jennifer Garner?) join the Avengers in KD/SW to fight Kangs from all universes and fix the sacred timeline which broke along the way.
I look at seating charts all the time and my thought when seeing that tweet wasn’t “lmao the marvels is gonna flop” (as stated before I HAVE TICKETS TO THE MOVIE MYSELF) it was “hell yeah brother see a movie by yourself at 10:30 PM”
One of the best movie experiences I had was seeing Godzilla 2014 in a theater with my friend and no one else…being able to scream and cheer without feeling awkward when he did the atomic breath was awesome
People here don't like to sit alone in theaters. One of my colleagues was the only person in the theater until a stranger came in and sat directly next to him. lmao
I'm sure this is a reason why she is so charismatic on screen. She wholeheartedly loves the characters and the world they're in. Kamala is a direct reflection of Iman's own nerdiness and admiration.
I think it was Josh on here that had some random people buy tickets right next to him in a theater with many options. I forget how that turned out.
Yeah I think it was for like, an 11:45 AM showing of the new Ninja Turtles movie when I was probably the first to buy tickets for that showing. They eventually canceled or at changed their reservation lol.
The first movie I ever saw by myself in a completely empty theater was Gravity. It was on my birthday.
don't know if I've ever been completely alone but have definitely only had like a couple or a handful of people, oh right post vaccine I watched Raya and the Last Dragon completely alone because I was still a little nervous
Just found out Tom Hiddleston is engaged to Zawe Ashton (portraying the antagonist Dar-Benn) in this film.
