This trailer reinforces the point that the MCU has zero anchor characters right now, aside from perhaps Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.
They could have more characters to anchor on if they would used them regularly. It’s embarrassing that Captain Marvel 2 has to use Thanos, Iron Man, Captain America, etc. for the final trailer a few days before the film releases.
In fact, I also think it's weird that this film comes out in a few days and I have no idea who the villain is.
Well some of those other ones changed everything but this one changes everything, you know what I mean?
Oh yeah, Kree be angry mothers. Anyway, Wiki's blurb about the character indicates the Kree went through a civil war and she's trying to restore her people, so she doesn't exactly read like a villain. I wonder if there's some twist or something. It'd be cool if Jude Law returned.
Final trailer not fooling me with the epic serious tone. This is going to be Blue Beetle/Ant-Man levels of silly.
I know nothing of the character so I just assumed bad person doing bad things in space. A twist for that character? Antagonists don’t have good track records in the MCU (aside from Killmonger, Zemo, Wenwu, Loki, and maybe Thanos) so I wouldn’t expect anymore than maybe 3 lines of dialogue that causes the protagonists to ponder. Law’s return would be cool, I guess, but he didn’t leave an impression in the first film, imo.
