Holy shit, had zero idea that was coming out but that crazy nu metal moments acct posted an ATDI live vid last night and I thought to myself “man there should really be an ATDI/TMV documentary” anyway
It's already available to buy and rent on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DRCSD5RM/?tag=absolutepunk-20
Yo this is soooooooooooo good lol. I’ve always wanted to know more about ATDI and early TMV. Some of this stuff is hitting. It’s crazy they documented the end of ATDI and I remember hearing a sample too of that Big Day Out show where Cedric was “baa” ing at the audience but I didn't know it was filmed. Makes total sense they were turned off by the macho nu metal and edge crowd that came with their popularity. That last show they played in Netherlands is wild. It was nice to see Jim hug Omar after he had a breakdown
So apparently that’s a new thing that was with this doc that Omar and Jeremy were romantically involved at one point? Also that the concept of Jeremy finding a journal when he was a repo man being the concept for Frances wasn’t true?
Omar & Jeremy was definitely new news to me, also never really knew the full Frances story but always assumed there was a level of knowing it's all a story anyway
Antemasque took a bit to grow on me but it's solid. Need them to drop the second LP that Travis Barker played the drums on Just can't get into BR
Wait Jim wasn’t apart of the ATDI reunion? Wasn’t aware and this doc does not paint him in a good light lol
Have not seen it yet but would be surprised if it paints much of anyone in a good light. Omar and Cedric don't often speak highly of past band members
Yeah he was a part of the 2012 reunion, when they did the longer reunion starting in 2016 that's when he didn't come back. Always wondered what happened there - guess I need to watch this doc based on everything I've been hearing.
