My wallet is thankful Mars Volta Plot Digital Release for Original 'De-Loused in the Comatorium' Recordings
Cloud Hill pretty much just confirmed the FTM title track in in the box since we are getting an etching. I assumed so but it's still a bummer
I'm revisiting their discography for the first time in years, currently in the last third of Frances The Mute and oh gosh this band fucking slaps/honks/rules/beeps etc.
Do you guys remember Omar doing a tour under his name around 2008ish , but Cedric was indeed there doing vocals for most of the set? Any idea what material that actually was? I saw the show but have no idea what the songs were haha.
I was wondering if that's what you were referring to, I saw that same set at Coachella 2011. It was the entirety of The Mars Volta, playing Mars Volta songs, I consider it a secret TMV set
So I think... the De Loused demos thing is out this Friday digitally? Very interested to listen to that
Ah I think the whole box set is out Friday as well, do we know if any albums are coming to streaming/digital remastered?
As far as I’ve heard, clouds hill does not have the digital rights for most of the Volta catalog, only vinyl.
ahhhh very very interesting. Well, I know the pre De Loused release is going to hit streaming, so I'm at least amped for that
Well, OK... but I do see that about a month ago Cloud Hill uploaded Tremulent EP to streaming. Was it never streaming or is this a re-upload? And if so, is this remastered? So many questions...
I'm reading that the one uploaded a month ago is indeed a new remaster, and reading that it's "near perfect" according to nerds on the internet. Gonna give it a listen asap. But yeah, there was a remaster for vinyl like.... 5? years ago?
there was a digital remaster that came out right when the first Antemasque singles were being released. there was some deal where if you preordered the singles you got a download of the remasters, or maybe vice versa.
So from what I'm seeing, the boxset has a disc devoted to Mr Muggs and as we assumed FTM the song is not included. Which seems deliberate and a little frustrating
