For anyone confused about what's happening:
It's for a fan-curated live album.
Over the next 15 days, on the website, they're posting clips of the same song section from different live performances on different tour dates. Fans listen to each version and vote for their favorite. The winning performance gets used on the final live record.
So essentially, the fans are helping build the album by selecting which performances make the final cut.
They're also letting fans vote on the album artwork on day 8. Meaning we'll have a hand in both the music and the visual presentation of the release.
Pretty cool concept. Instead of the band picking everything behind closed doors, they're letting the fanbase help create the definitive live Mars Volta album - Unfinished Business: Lucro Sucio Live (UBLSL)
