Reading some of the extremely negative reactions to this is genuinely confusing to me. I get it not being somebody’s thing and nobody in here is guilty of this at all but some of the strong vitriol people are throwing at the album is making me wonder if I’m the crazy one lol

Ok I dig this. Looks like they’ll be in Boston this fall, I’ll definitely get tickets for that show.

 

This is alright. There’s nothing about this that I think is bad, but nothing is really grabbing me either. Found this more interesting when I saw them play it live last week

 

Just got my ticket for Boston! I considered going for the mezzanine but settled on a floor ticket instead. Excited.

 

I couldn’t get into their last album at all but I’m really into this one so far.

 

Had held off on listening to the leaks but this is a vibe. I’ve enjoyed this way more than the self-titled. I thought I didn’t care about any new TMV but this is pretty slick. Production is great. The shifts in Celaje are unreal.

Reina tormenta/Enlazan las tinieblas are my favorite but only tracks I’m really enjoying right now but gonna keep listening.

My new TMV shirt arrived today. Delivered on Easter Monday very cool. Ordered a medium fit its a little too loose but ok (6'3, 78kg). Material, comfort and colour are good and I like the design matches very well with my towel. Collar is not my fav. Overall 7/10 will be adding to the rotation.

I think this album clicked for me in a big way today while folding laundry, haha. Definitely the best listen yet, it's opening up to me for sure.

Seprately, I kinda made a little note each time I felt like a section of the album ended, just out of curiosity, and these are some thoughts on how each part of the album fits together in my mind. Ultimately, doesn't matter at all, but just kinda interesting that the album could be thought of as only 9-10 songs across 18 tracks

Now that this thread has been bumped, how do you all feel about the record now?

 

It’s been on repeat for me for months. Lots of great albums this year but this one’s always playing when I want to relax.

I had a way more favorable first few listens of this than some but I need to return to it. It’s not something I feel like I can causally throw on, but when I’m listening to it, it hits

 

need to give it another shot honestly. I tried 3 or 4 times and didnt enjoy it at all. Curious what their fall tour setlist looks like because Ive been holding off on tickets. If its like the Deftones tour with just new material, Im out. If its like the 2022 shws with heavy focus on earlier stuff, im in. Went to 2 of those shows and they were amazing.
