I noticed the production had compression issues for sure.

 

Couldn't resist listening to snippets and what I heard reminded me of Animal Collective

 

I can’t really imagine the tracklist changing (other than maybe tracks being merged) but yeah I would not judge the production/mix on this.

 

I listened to the first half, I'm going to try and have some willpower and save the rest for an official release. Hopefully the leak pushes that date up a bit. Really sucks for them though

I think it’s a low quality rip. I don’t think the tracks are separated entirely correctly either. I think it’s 128kbps encoded at 320

 

This is so tempting to find, but I'll hold off.

 

This fucking rules. I loved the self-titled and never really cared for much of their stuff after the first 2 albums. This gets weird without all the self-indulgent guitar wankery that plagued some of their other albums.

 

A low quality rip isn’t a good test to judge something by. For those who are unimpressed I’m sure the official versions will pack more of a punch.

De Loused will always be a perfect album for me. I’ve talked about it recently but Amp has REALLY connected with me now

 

I wish I liked the last album as much as everyone. I will give it a shot but TMV really shine with their energy rather than the low key vibes. I listened to self titled again yesterday and it’s fine, but then out on Frances and Bedlam after it and was immediately blown away all over again. I’m hoping we get something like that out of them again at some point

 

I go back and forth between Frances and Deloused at 1 depending on the day

I used to be disappointed in Amp but now I love it. Can't get enough of of the dissonance
