Don't think I can remember a major leak this early since W was president... this almost just makes me more skeptical there's even a record coming at all tbh.

I definitely think it's a real album lol it would make no sense for a bunch of record store sites to all list the album if it wasn't real... one of the sites that listed it is the biggest record store chain in Finland I think? Just seems like info leaked when it wasn't supposed to.

Yeah, I'm already on to thinking it probably does exist, but I'm not convinced it has leaked. (Until of course I have it!)

 

The guy who said that is almost definitely lying after going through his post history and also DM'ing him. (His response: "what do I get?")

However, I do trust that a different person, who appears to be the one who prompted the mods to retract their "it has not leaked" post, is listening to what he and the mods at least believe is the new album: "dont think the people who hated the last one will like this one very much either, but that's just my take." Says it was given to him by a friend of a friend via a link that is now dead; it's a single 48 minute audio file.

I might have my timeline off but I’m pretty sure Pierce The Veil’s first album leaked like a full year before it was announced. I don’t think they even announced that Before Today were changing their name/lineup before it leaked

 

Oh yeah it was a different world back then. I would practically count on shit leaking months in advance in the early-mid aughts. The leak pipeline dried up so fast sometime around 2008-10, though... basically when CDs totally died.

Maybe I'm unlucky, but I remember being incredulous still waiting for leaks the day before release circa 2010-11. Then quickly realizing that's the new normal, and really never hearing anything I cared about more than a few days early since that era. This TMV thing would be absolutely wild if it's already out there.
