Alan Taylor's last two movies are arguably the worst Terminator and the Thor that everyone says is the worst one. Skepticism is warranted; TV and movies are different mediums, even if the definitions have started to break down over the last twenty years.

Pretty sure that Dickie Moltisanti is the main character of the movie (“moltisanti” means “many saints” in Italian, meaning Dickie Moltisanti literally is the Many Saints of Newark), this trailer is focusing on Tony because that’s who everyone knows from the show.

 

I thought early development was it would take place when Tony was a kid. According to Sopranos canon, Tony was born in ‘59 and I thought they casted a young actor but James’s son is playing him so he’s around 19-20. So this takes place in late 70s/early 80s? I know the 1967 Newark riots play a crucial role in the movie.

Nivola is billed first and is hardly the biggest name in the cast. he's clearly the focal point of the movie.

 

The problem with that is that Christopher was a baby or really small when his father was killed. If he was 30 when the show started (if not older), it would have to be early 70's.

 

trailer looks great man idk. Vera Farmiga as Livia is fucking inspired casting, cinematography looks great
