This is a reeeeeally good guess that I haven’t heard yet. It would fit in with some of her appearances in the comics.
So that was awesome. Love the name. He’s so cute. Ive never watched the Clone Wars and now this makes me want to lol
I'm rewatching for the first time at the moment. Enjoying it much more this time around, and totally understanding the hype. My only tip would be to focus on the story and character moments and try to look past the "obviously targeted at children" parts.
That’s fair. Probably just riding high since it seems that Ahsoka is still on her mission to find Ezra/Thrawn.
I’m not gonna lie, whenever Ahsoka started her sentence with “You’ll need to go to...”, I fully expected Mando to let out an audible “UGH”. Haha. That aside, I loved the episode. I’m a little surprised that we didn’t get more of a conversation between the two of them about the Force, the history of the Jedi and Mandalorians, etc. Especially since he’s literally going to a temple next, no questions asked.
Yo the name Grogu sucks ass and Ahsoka seemed oddly angry in her fighting style but otherwise loving this ep. If there’s anything that this show has taught me it’s that I only really care about the SW universe when it has to do with Jedi and The Force, which is I think why I’ve been enjoying this season so much more than the first. Hoping the Thrawn stuff isn’t just a back door pilot cuz I hate when shows do that, but I can’t deny I got insanely excited when he was mentioned and that I’d watch a spin-off show about him and finding Ezra in a heartbeat
Honestly I’m surprised I haven’t seen anyone say this before, but so much of this show feels like a video game narrative, with each episode feeling like another fetch quest and the main character basically being a cypher. When Mando meets Ahsoka I could practically see the text options “Help Ahsokah and let her train the Child” and “Kill Ahsoka and train the Child on your own” pop up on the screen haha
We’re probably good at this point. I think folks are being a little more careful today just because of Ahsoka/Grogu backstory etc.
Ludwig is really stepping up the score. I loved the first season too, but it feels even more elevated each week. Him working in Yodas theme while Ahsoka spoke of him was a nice touch. My favorite moment was the Ewok vibe celebratory track that worked in the main theme. The way it transitioned from the party shot to Baby Yoda (still calling him that most of the time currently) was really great.
yeah I hope I don’t have to wait much longer for this show to have a fully compelling story beat or to do something actually great. still enjoying the heck out of it for what it is - the set design and world building is full on Star Wars and it’s giving me most of all the right vibes and nostalgia of the OT that the prequels and sequels failed to spark.
