I think the definition of filler here is weird. It was a rad adventure which is kinda the point of the series no? I don't think this episode was just something they threw together to pad out the season.

 

the score continues to be top notch, as well.

 

Yeah this ep compared to ep 3 last season is pretty different. Now THAT was a filler ep.

I definitely like these more stand alone episodes but I also am eager to get to more darksaber, Mandalorian, ahsoka stuff. I want it all!

 

I feel like there will be a pay off of some sort for the egg eating. I felt the same way as you do and found it terrible. I’m yelling at the baby to stop being a little shit.

 

How does Mando know to say, "may the force be with you?" He has no idea what the force is.

That was definitely a head-scratcher, but I guess it's just a phrase people say without considering the meaning.

 

It’s a common phrase used by the rebellion (and by extension the new republic). He was just trying to relate to them and keep under the radar/outta trouble. I do it when I get pulled over, too.

 

But if he knows the phrase, he knows of the force. Which in S1 he said he didn't know.

Eh maybe. I view it like no one understands the power of the force in terms of the way the jedi used it. So he’s heard of the force, he’s seen what baby yoda can do, but he hasn’t connected the two. That’s at least how I’m interpreting it at this time.

 

Yeah, I think it just seems like a weird religious thing to most people. It’s like telling someone “bless you” because you’ve heard it used somewhere before.

 

people just cant even enjoy watching a mandolorian talk to a giant ant named dr mandible then fight a giant spider monster on an ice planet with a talking frog lady without people complaining smh.

 

Yep, that’s what I’m thinking.

 

Finally got around to watching this episode. Not my favorite, but it was still fun. Can’t wait for Chapter 11.

 

Two awesome monster eps in a row

 

I don’t know if this past week has poisoned my brain (probably) but the child eating the eggs doesn’t seem not bother me as much as it should. Honestly, the punching of the child last season felt way worse to me and still really bugs me.
Din’s questionable parenting could def result in some real consequences later on! Frog lady was weird and perfect.

Loved the first 2 eps. I love giant monster fights.

 

Finally watched the season finale of the first season. Very satisfied, thought it was fantastic. Once I saw it was Waititi who did the ep the stormtrooper opening made complete sense.
