She claims she sat on the rumor for six months. When did it come out to line up with Favreau's comments? The day after the article. Last two Star Wars article headlines from the site (CBN) that originated the news are "Gina Carano Fires Back At Woke Trans Bullies" and "Pedro Pascal Difficult; Crying about Mandalorian Helmet". Give me a break.
I wouldn’t worry too much y’all. It’s really not that crazy an idea, most shows bounce around narratively and don’t follow the main character the entire time. I think his statement is really being taken out of context. From the article: “And while the first season’s episodes very strictly focused on Mando, season 2 adds new storytelling angles. ‘As we introduce other characters, there are opportunities to follow different storylines,’ Favreau says. ‘The world was really captivated by Game of Thrones and how that evolved as the characters followed different storylines — that's very appealing to me as an audience member.’” It’s more about them expanding the scope of the show. They mention right after this that the budget is bigger and episode lengths will vary more (assuming longer as I doubt it’ll drop to a 20 minute show). Highly doubt this was some mid season pivot. The re-writes and changes needed for the volume would’ve been extensive. I just don’t see it. I’m sure we’ll all see when season 3 is announced. I’m still excited as fuck for season 2
Regardless of what happened I think there will definitely be a season 3. I am at Disney right now and it’s “The Child” merchandise in every shop and everyone is wearing it too.
Someone posted a bullshit story about Pedro Pascal quitting the show while filming Season 2. It’s a “We Got This Covered” story, which I’m shocked people still fall for their bullshit
I think Favreau has started writing season 3, but no shooting has occurred. They finished season 2 days before Covid shut everything down.

@Anthony_Soprano, why are you taking these bad rumor sources so personally? They’re bad sources. I’m sorry that you didn’t know (they somehow do a good job of faking reliability), & I’m sorry that the attacks on the shit sites felt like an attack on you. But, trust us (as people who spend way too much time talking nerd stuff online, lol): We Got This Covered is trash with a bad track record. And, that link in particular called Bounding Into Comics a source that (like Cosmic Book News) is both unreliable and hateful, like the Fox News or Breitbart of superhero gossip. Grace Randolph is also... hit or miss at best? It sucks that so many sites get by on this kinda Marvel & DC & Star Wars clickbait, in a landscape so cluttered that normal people can’t possibly be expected to keep it all straight. But, if you listen to those of us who’ve spent too much time on this rumor thing, you’ll get a better sense on who has a better vs worse track record.
For most of the show, it isn’t/wasn’t Pascal on set. It’s stuntmen Brendan Wayne and Lateef Crowder. Unless something major has changed, the majority of Pascal’s work is VO.
