Not really, neither were. Jango stole the armor from an actual Mandalorian and Boba used that armor later in life when he became a bounty hunter.
Good finale. I vibe with this show when it's actually advancing the plot/doing something the characters are actually invested in so these last couple episodes have been very welcome. Fuck yeah darksaber
Holy cow. This finale was so good. I love the tone of this show so much. Everything feels so careful and delicately put into place. Also, I'm glad I recently threw myself into The Clone Wars when Disney+ dropped (about halfway through) so I actually have some context for what is going on. I never really got into that show before, and I guess I didn't realize how important that and Rebels were to the main story.
I really hope this is the direction Disney takes SW going forward, tell all these stories about the galaxy and flesh out the world more.
I'm not totally against Boba showing up in this show now because of this line. I'm thinking more and more that the character we see at the end of the Tattooine episode was Boba. I think it could be interesting to put Boba and Mando against each other to help explore this idea of what a Mandalorian is. How does the way of life differ from looking cool in the armor?
Not gonna lie, in the flashback with him as a kid, when he gets saved and you see the outline of a Mandalorian they cynical part of me was like, "Oh no, that's gonna be Boba Fett". Never been so glad to be wrong
Huge no thanks. This show does not need Fett in any way. May his useless body continue to digest in the sarlacc pit.
I mean, I would also prefer we just focus on these original characters and have no Boba, but I think you all might want to start mentally preparing yourself for that green armored doofus.
I really enjoyed what they did with the Armorer. And they also answered my most burning question: do they call other Mandalorians Mando? Yes they do.
rank episodes 1 3 2 8 7 5 6 4 6 and 4 were really the only episodes I didnt like. 5 or 6 of these episodes are arguably the best star wars for me. very happy to have this show.
6 - The Prisoner 2 - The Child 7 - The Reckoning 8 - Redemption 3 - The Sin 4 - Sanctuary 1 - Chapter 1 5 - The Gunslinger If I were to rewatch the season, the only one I would skip is Gunslinger. It's the only one that felt like it wasn't moving the plot forward or giving us a deeper look at the character. Overall, I think the show had a good first season, but I'm not fully blown away. However, I think they've got plenty to build on going forward and I'm looking forward to season two.
Yep. I'm a sucker for a good heist movie so this one really got me. I know it didn't do much to advance the plot, but it felt like the best-directed episode. The tension in the episode was thick and it didn't let up right from the opening shot. The twi'lek characters were a little cartoony, but I loved the dynamic between the cast, especially Bill Burr. Getting a little more backstory for Mando was nice too.
Need to rewatch, but how did Giddeon know Mando? Darksaber came from a Mando, so Giddeon killed and took it?
