Just seems odd without context in that case. Twitter and reddit are always terrible except for spreading the memes, so that’s no surprise. I guess it will be funny if the people who were over the moon saying this is the greatest SW content in the history of the franchise jump ship before the first season even finishes.
Eh, don’t think my post really warranted the reaction but it’s whatever, next time I’ll make sure I’m specific and add context. Don’t really care to have words put in my mouth or rather typed out.
I really need to think like Werner and let the pure beauty of the baby shine through, because I can feel the cynicism creeping up inside me about how calculated these gifs and memes are and I don’t want to let that scale tip.
finally caught up on this. really enjoying it. love the obvious samurai/western influences. love how it's shot, and the score. big fan of the concept art credits as well.
wasn't really a fan of Carano in this one, but it was still fun nonetheless. They sure made that AT-ST menacing.
I dont get these yoda memes and I usually like stupid memes without punchlines love baby yoda tho obv
I’m so eager to get through this whole show already but it’s refreshing to have this weekly discussion
Some great elements in the episode but overall to me it just brought into focus how meandering the show is. We're halfway through the season and there seems to be no narrative thrust, no sense that the story is going anywhere.
I thought that was really weird, like why are they that color to begin with? why would anyone do that?
That's what I like about it. It seems like a video game and Mando is going on quests. Go to this location, talk to the Jawas, get their item, and move on to the next quest. This recent one he met an Outer Worlds-style companion for a boss fight.
I think viewing it from the perspective of it being a western serial is why I enjoy it every single week and don't worry that much about any overarching story.
yeah i definitely agree with this, there doesn't seem to be a main story line quite yet, assuming one will develop, but i've been having fun with the semi-all over the place story thus far
I'm sorry but at tens of millions of dollars per EP, video game side-quest is not really the level of entertainment we should aim for.
Idk, if you're trying to scare people with your super scary weapon, making it look scarier makes a certain amount of sense to me.
now this explanation I can actually live with, it still looked oddly tacky, even though that shot of the red eyes appearing in the forest was a dope idea but super badly executed.
If it's a western serial, wouldn't you want to spend all these adventures with someone you can care about, or at least actually get a sense of personality from? I just don't think this show is picking a lane. Hoping the season closes out strong.
