I need it asap Was pleasantly surprised to see that the heavy infantry Mando was actually a totally different Mandalorian and not just an outfit change ha. Hoping next episode we get some Cara?
Why would you post this in an unrelated thread. You didn’t spoiler tag nearly enough of it. I’m not that far into the game yet. Thanks.
There seems to be a lot of chekhov's gun stuff happening in this series. So now we’re probably getting Mando removing his helmet, and him getting a jet pack some time this season. And his new armor is awesome.
Sorry, man. I thought it was enough. I’ve edited the post in question. I’m new to posting here, so I’m sorry that I “hassled” someone about spoiler tags. I’ve read the rules now, and I get that it was/is annoying; it won’t happen again.
As a rule of thumb, let’s just all agree that when an episode drops, don’t jump in until you watch it. This thread has been a very positive and fun discussion and we don’t need to be fighting over spoilers.
Liked the first. Really liked the second. Loved the the third. Wow. Such a fun episode. What I wanted out of this show was eventually getting to Mandalorian lore and we’ve already gotten a lot. Loved the flashback and can’t wait to see if we get to continue it. I imagine Mandos save him before that B2 droid kills him but maybe the separatists capture him? Love the expansion seeing all the Mandos weaponry/gadgetry. Even though Mando gave up Baby Yoda you can see the honor in his character not just sacrificing everything to go back, but even something like refusing get the Mudhorn symbol (I think that’s what it was) because he didn’t earn it. The little ball on the ships joystick thing was used brilliantly and love the end of him giving it back to BY and then “I gotta get one of those.” The score also really was perfect and really dug how he blended Mandos theme into this episode. I dug the modern style in the action/ tense scenes but loved how he brought back that classic SW feel at the end. I was enjoying this as a serial adventure for the first two but this one hooked me. It worked on every level for me. I’m so excited for where this story can go from here. Hunted by Empire and bounty hunters!! Where does he go?!?!?!? Back to Kuiil?!?
Just want to point out that I resisted the urge to pop in here all day cuz I knew spoilers are fair game. Just finished the episode. It was awesome. In regard to the helmet thing, maybe since there are so few of them now they are going back to the old style of doing things? If there was an old style? Just talking outta my ass here
Also agree with the sentiments that the helmet thing is probably a new order in response to the Great Purge. "This is the way" I imagine is short hand of saying This is the way we rebuild Mandalore, or the culture, or their reputation amongst the galaxy.
I also just really want to know what Yoda’s species is called. and I was also hoping we’d see him go after that mon calamari and go to their planet or something
If they do ever show a deep flashback of him getting saved, I feel like this is where they would put Boba Fett, that’s if they decide to include him. They do fan service in a really tasteful way.
some thoughts on the episode: imo this was easily the best one yet. so enthralling from start to finish when Baby Yoda is taken away, that little cry it let out was so heartbreaking. I’m glad he went back for it since they’re both foundlings, and I’d honestly question the show if they didn’t give the character a moral compass it’s interesting to note that he’s been bailed out by others in every episode. hopefully there’s at least a small thread of how we’re better together than we are alone. might juxtapose the whole lone wolf thing pretty well I really hope they don’t make me worry for the well-being of Baby Yoda each and every episode. my heart can’t take it this show is easily the best thing Star Wars related in a long time. I think people who don’t even like the Star Wars films will get a lot out of this
Also since I dont think i saw anybody reference it yet, the Mandalorian voiced by Favreau in this episode's name was Paz Vizla, so its probably a descendent of his Clone Wars character Pre Vizla.
Also great line with Mando saying New Republic is a joke giving a brief look into the state of the galaxy at this point.
