Haven't watched episode 3 yet but are there theories out there about who baby yoda is? IIRC Yoda's species is especially force sensitive so it doesn't have to be a descendant of Yoda....but is it possible it is his kid?
It came out in the middle of the night ten hours ago. Don’t think it’s unrealistic to think people would be spoiler tagging.
Disney just announced that Baby Yoda merchandise will be release before the Holidays, so I went and shared that information with this forum since we all love Baby Yoda. Also, maybe I just found out something neat about episode 1 or 2 and wanted to share the easter egg. Kind of like how I finished Jedi: Fallen Order last weekend, but yesterday I went back to Ilum, and there is this HUGE trench throughout the middle of the planet where the Empire is mining kyber crystals. The placement seemed to be exactly like Starkiller Base. Therefore, it seems that the game confirmed that is in fact Starkiller Base. So, it'd be neat to talk about just noticed things from past episodes without worrying that something from an episode that most haven't seen yet will be spoiled. So there ya go, two reasons. edit: I expanded the spoiler area.
Great episode! Was legit mad when he gave up baby yoda. Equally excited when he decided to get him back. Flying-fighting Mandos was FUCKING AWESOME. Didn’t realize I wanted that in live action, but I was cheering along the whole time. I’m gonna assume that Mando specifically shot Carga where he did. He knew he had the plates and he took his time with his shot. I imagine this will keep him in good enough graces considering the situation. Gotta say, I loved watching the slow walk to deliver baby yoda at the top of the episode. You could FEEL the hesitation and uncertainty Mando was feeling. Pedro and directors are doing a great job “showing” us how he feels with little words/zero facial expressions. I fucking love this show.
The good thing about Baby Yoda is That I’m fine with whatever road they take whether it be his son, clone or just someone from his species.
lol I remember when Rouge One came out I thought it was Pedro Pascal at first. But I've seen enough Oberyn Martell to know the real deal
The only reservation I have with him being Yoda’s kid is I think that changes his character too much from the films. Specifically, Yoda lecturing Anakin about attachments, when he had done the exact same thing recently. Yoda’s flaw is believing too much in the Order and to learn he’s being hypocritical would tarnish that a little bit. If it’s Yaddle’s kid, then I’m good and maybe that’s why she left the Council between Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones.
Another solid one. This definitely the most I felt could see Mando's emotions despite not seeing his face. Props to Deborah Chow on that. The Obi-Wan series is in good hands. I can't wait to see what she does. Loved seeing all the Mandalorians fighting together at the end (though the one flying by him and saluting him was kind of goofy. Can't wait for the Mando to get his own jetpack). I wonder where he's going to take Baby Yoda. Also very excited for Mando being hunted by imperial remnants and the Bounty Hunters guild. And now I'm more intrigued by Dr. Pershing. Was he actually trying to help Baby Yoda? I doubt it. Many new interesting threads setup.
Not if it is true that the baby is 50 years old. Mando - 5 years post RotJ OT - 4 years Empire - 19 years Clone Wars - 3 Years Phantom Menace -10 years before CWs By quick math, Baby Yoda was born about 9 or 10 years (give or take) before Phantom Menace if he is 50. This actually puts him about the same age as Anakin now that I look at it, which is interesting.
