live action moana looks like truly one of the worst things disney has ever done and the bar is already so low.

it's not just that it's a live action remake (which have never really worked), it's that it's of a movie that's not even 10 years old yet. they're all pretty bad, but on that front alone, it feels even more soulless than a lot of the others.

Just remembered Rotta said something about when he “was his age” in reference to Grogu. Isn’t Rotta the same age as Grogu, if not younger?

The one bit of slop coming up that I’m most interested in (I’m choosing not to count Spider-Man because of bias) is, for some reason, Street Fighter.

Why that looks potentially fun to me, when He-Man looks like shit and I didn’t see the Mario sequel, I dunno. Something about it looks more likely to be on the “good trash” side of the divide to my tastes.

(Maybe I’ll still not bother seeing it though, idk.)

Buff kid Jabba not bothering to understand that baby Yoda is like 50 or whatever is maybe his only good trait.

having no exposure to Street Fighter outside of its few appearances in Smash Bros, that trailer did nothing to sell me on seeing it

Street Fighter seems like it’ll be like the first animated Mario movie, in that it’ll probably technically have a “story” and “characters,” but if you don’t have nostalgia for the games? No reason to give a shit.

I, however, wanna see my beloved Cammi and Vega be cool and sexy, etc.

Minions straight up decapitating someone and the camera showing the ‘sliced meat with a bone in it’ neck wound was a genuine gasp for me.

Told my co-workers I saw this and one genuinely did not know a new Star Wars movie came out.

But I thought the normies were all really into this.
